Dear Friends of Tufts Baseball,
I hope your 2015 is off to a wonderful start. It has been a very busy start to the

New Year for Tufts Baseball. The first announcement is bittersweet as Coach Kevin Casey has left the Jumbo staff to take a position on the Northeastern University staff. It is a great move for Kevin to join an outstanding baseball staff @ Northeastern under Head Coach Mike Glavine. The Huskies play in the CAA which is a well respected D1 league. We will miss Kevin, he brought a lot of energy to the program and was a true Jumbo.
As you may be aware I had the tremendous honor to serve as the ABCA Vice President and put together the clinicians for the 2015 ABCA National Convention in Orlando in early January. Thankfully it went very well. Jumbo alums Paul Svagdis, head coach at Azusa Pacific University and Jamie Pinzino, pitching coach at the

University of Oklahoma spoke, they were both fantastic and I heard numerous positive comments about their presentations. They represented their respective institutions well as well as Jumbo Baseball.
Finally the guys are back in school working hard to prepare for the season. We are currently interviewing for a person to replace Kevin and hopefully that will be announced in the near future. Kyle Slinger, a senior captain was selected as a Pre-season All American. Sling has a lot to live up to but he has prepared well to give his best effort. Our updated 2015 schedule should be up on the newly revised Tufts Athletics website very soon and we will be holding our annual Tufts Alumni weekend committee meeting on 1/29 to gear up for the golf tournament and alumni game May 1-2. Be sure to mark your calendars as this will be the 25th golf outing and alumni game!!!
Below are a couple of links to the above mentioned events.
Have a wonderful week,, keep thinking warm thoughts and Go Patriots!!
Be well
Coach Case
